Workplace Giving/Matching Gift

Making a donation through our secure website reduces our administrative costs, thus allowing more of your donation to go directly to helping seriously ill children and their families. Once you have completed the easy online donation process, an acknowledgment and tax receipt will be e-mailed to you for your records.

If you do not wish to donate online, simply print out the mail-in donation form below. Make sure to indicate the type of donation you wish to make – either by check or credit card – along with the other required information and mail to the address on the form.

Give In Honor or In Memory

Celebrate the birth of a child, a marriage, anniversary, graduation or any other special milestone by making a meaningful Tribute gift to Friends of Karen. Remember a loved one or express your sympathy with a Memorial gift.

We will send a letter acknowledging your contribution to the person of your choice.  Our online donation form includes a comment box for you to enter the name of the person being honored or remembered, in addition to acknowledgement information. The amount of the gift will not be disclosed to those being notified of your thoughtful contribution.

Become A Monthly Donor

By contributing a predetermined amount each month, you will be providing a reliable source of support that will enable us to sustain our support for critically ill children and their families.

Your donation will be deducted from your credit card each month, and you will receive an e-mail notification when your contribution is debited from your credit card.

If you wish to discontinue your monthly sponsorship at any time, please contact Ellen Griffin in our Development office at 914-641-4042 or email ellengriffin@friendsofkaren.org. (*credit card donations online only – minimum $10 each month).

Workplace Giving/Matching Gift

A workplace giving campaign is an employer sponsored program that provides a simple contribution option for employees to make a difference in their chosen charity.

For employees this is a win-win situation since these programs offer the convenience of automatic payroll deductions without losing the tax benefits of charitable giving, as well as the strong emotional component of helping others in need. Some corporations/businesses match their employee’s contributions to certain charities that meet company guidelines (i.e., educational organizations, hospitals, etc.). Matching Gifts can double the impact of your personal donation and enable Friends of Karen to help as many children and families as possible.

Check with your Human Resources Department about your company’s workplace giving and matching gifts program. If your workplace giving program does not include Friends of Karen, please contact Communications Coordinator, Jill Gold at jillgold@friendsofkaren.org or 914-617-4047.
