Palma is the recipient of Friends of Karen’s 2013 Sheila M. Petersen Award. Palma was introduced to Friends of Karen in1995 when she was invited to be part of that year’s Gala Committee and she then began volunteering for other projects as well. In 2009, she was elected to the Board of Directors. Palma received a BA from Boston College and graduated from New York Law School. She went on to practice matrimonial law with a NYC law firm. In addition to her dedication to Friends of Karen, Palma has been a member of the Junior League for more than 30 years and has been involved in fundraising for Historic Hudson Valley, Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, Northern Westchester Hospital, and Pace Law School’s Women’s Justice Center. Additionally, she was a founding Board member of the Graham School Foundation. Palma and her husband of 37 years have four sons and live in Chappaqua, NY and Manhattan.
